Lisa graduated from Western Washington University with a major in Elementary Special Education and a minor in Speech Pathology. Although she did not pursue a career working with children, her training helped prepare her for her position as Rehabilitation Manager in Chinook’s Supported Production Division, which began in 1991. Lisa has since been promoted to Vice President of Program Services and is also in the process of becoming a General CARF Surveyor (one of only 1,400 in the country). The CARF position requires occasional travel to businesses and agencies throughout Northern America and evaluate their compliance with a set of industry standards pertaining to rehabilitation services. Meeting and exceeding these standards ensure agencies improve services for customers.
“My vision for Chinook is that we expand our services to underserved populations of people in our county who have difficulty finding jobs.”
