Leading the Employment Services Division is a big job. Last year, a 37-year veteran, Jim Halpin, retired. Jim left behind some big shoes to fill. Finding the right fit to lead the company into the future weighed on everyone’s minds. The solution then became as obvious as opening the window on a beautiful spring day. Lisa Fisher, a department manager of 27-years, with a passion for people and possibilities, was offered and accepted the job.
Rob Martin, expressed his enthusiasm over the news saying: “We couldn’t be happier with Lisa’s decision to lead our Employment Services Division. Her passion for people and vision for the future is exactly what Chinook needs to continue its long-standing success in the Valley.”
Fisher, who has a degree from Western Washington University in Elementary Special Education, started her employment with Chinook in 1991 as a rehabilitation manager in the Supported Production Division. In that capacity, Lisa supervised individuals with moderate to severe disabilities as they performed tasked to support the larger Production Division.
“It’s been amazing to watch the company grow,” said Fisher when asked about her longevity. “I’m excited for the challenge and the opportunity to contribute in new ways.”
The Community Employment Services Division is composed of individuals who work with employers and candidates to find successful job matches. “Our goal is to convince employers to make Chinook Enterprises their first point of contact when seeking qualified candidates for entry-level positions,” said Fisher.
