At Chinook Enterprises, we love celebrating the contributions of our incredible customers who are making a difference in their communities. This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Ann and her dedicated service to the Burlington Senior Center.
For the past two years, Ann has volunteered every Friday afternoon, faithfully wiping down tables and chairs after lunch. While this may seem like a small task, it’s a tremendous help to the kitchen staff. The Burlington Senior Center kitchen plays a vital role in Skagit County as the hub for preparing, packaging, and delivering meals for the Meals on Wheels program. Thanks to this program, seniors across the county receive nutritious meals, even if they’re unable to leave their homes.
Ann’s consistent efforts ensure that the dining area remains clean and welcoming for everyone. This not only supports the kitchen team but also creates a pleasant environment for the seniors who gather to enjoy a delicious, affordable lunch. The Senior Center serves lunch for just $5 for those aged 55 and over and $7 for anyone younger who wants to enjoy a hearty meal and good company.
Ann’s commitment is a reminder that small actions can have a big impact. By stepping in every week to lend a helping hand, she not only lightens the load for staff but also plays a part in supporting a vital program that enhances the quality of life for so many.
