Growing North: Chinook Enterprises Expands Services into Whatcom County

For more than 46 years, Chinook has supported people with disabilities and other barriers in building meaningful connections, achieving personal goals, and participating fully in their communities. As demand for these services continues to grow, we are thrilled to extend our reach and bring those opportunities to new customers in Whatcom County.

Our CES team provides individualized support designed to help people find and maintain meaningful employment. Services include job development, job coaching, and long-term support. Whether someone is exploring work for the first time or building on previous employment experience, our team brings compassion, commitment, and expertise to every step of the journey.

In addition to employment services, the Community Inclusion program helps people connect with activities, interests, and experiences that enrich their lives. From participating in local events and classes to exploring hobbies and building relationships, Community Inclusion services support people in becoming more engaged and connected members of their communities.

This expansion represents more than a new service area. It is an opportunity to build new relationships, create more pathways to employment and inclusion, and support even more people in achieving their goals. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve Whatcom County and look forward to becoming an active part of the community.
