A Big Moment for Chinook, and We’d Love Your Vote!

We’ve got some exciting news to share…

Chinook Enterprises has been nominated for Most Innovative Employer in this year’s Best of Skagit Valley, and we couldn’t have gotten here without the people who support our work every day.

This nomination means a lot to us. Innovation at Chinook doesn’t come from one big idea. It grows out of everyday moments. It shows up in the way our teams create opportunities, adapt to meet individual needs, and build workplaces where people of all abilities can succeed.

That might look like someone like David, who worked for over 20 years in our Production division and now is living his dream job, giving presentations while advocating and providing outreach to the public.

It might be a member of the Commercial Grounds Maintenance division learning a new skill like navigating a riding lawn mower on a job site, a team problem-solving their way through a challenge, or a supervisor finding a new way to support growth by employing simple accommodations like speech-to-text applications to better include an employee with hearing loss.

It might look like supporting an employee with visual impairment to work as a receptionist by introducing adaptive tools, clear navigation strategies, or task modifications that build confidence and independence on the job.

 

Our innovation is practical, real, and rooted in our mission.

Being recognized as a finalist reflects the impact of that work across Skagit County.

 

 

Voting is open July 1 through July 15, and we’d be honored to have your support.
