Pedaling Toward New Opportunities: Dan’s Story

A New Chapter, Built on Experience

After a long and successful career, Dan recently proved that it’s never too late to embrace new opportunities.

Dan is a bright, hard-working Chinook customer with an impressive employment history and a strong commitment to doing his best. After working for 25 years at DSHS, Dan left his position in 2025 and began searching for his next opportunity. Like many job seekers, the process took time, patience, and persistence. After months of searching, Dan achieved his goal of returning to work and recently joined the team at Fred Meyer in Burlington as a Front-End Courtesy Clerk.

Since starting his new role, Dan has adapted quickly and become a valued member of the front-end team. He takes great pride in providing excellent customer service and approaches each shift with enthusiasm and professionalism. Whether he’s bagging groceries, collecting shopping carts, or assisting customers, Dan is known for his strong work ethic, independence, and positive attitude. His coworkers appreciate his reliability and the energy he brings to the workplace.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys staying active and involved in the community. One of his favorite activities is riding his bike throughout Skagit County, which keeps him busy while allowing him to explore the area and stay connected with the community he loves.

Dan’s story is a great reminder that perseverance pays off. Through determination, patience, and a willingness to keep moving forward, he successfully navigated a major career transition and found a new workplace where he can continue to thrive. We are proud of all that Dan has accomplished and look forward to seeing his continued success!
