
Opening Doors That Welcome Everyone
There’s a moment most people barely notice: arriving at work or entering a building and simply getting through the door.
For many people, that moment isn’t simple. Heavy doors, narrow entryways, or awkward handles can turn a routine part of the day into a barrier. At Chinook Enterprises, we pay close attention to those moments, because they shape how welcome and supported someone feels here.
Our mission is rooted in inclusion, opportunity, and dignity. That means our physical space matters, just as much as our programs and services. Everyone deserves to move through their day with confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging.
That’s why our GiveBIG 2026 campaign is focused on a practical upgrade with real, everyday impact: adding more automatic door openers throughout our internal facility.

Automatic door openers may seem like a small improvement, but they make a meaningful difference. They support independence for customers who use wheelchairs or walkers, staff who have limited strength or mobility, and visitors arriving with full hands, deliveries, or assistive equipment. They quietly remove a challenge many people face multiple times a day, allowing energy and focus to stay on work, conversation, and connection.
These upgrades also benefit people whose disabilities or barriers may not be visible. Ease of access helps create a workplace where no one has to ask for help just to enter a room, and where dignity is built into the environment, not added as an afterthought.
We’ve already made progress on this project. Thanks to generous community support, we raised enough funds to upgrade two doors, improving access in key areas of our building. That progress matters, and people are already feeling the difference.
But the need is still here.
Our GiveBIG 2026 goal is to expand this effort by adding one more automatic door opener. Completing this next step brings us closer to a facility where accessibility is consistent and where our space better reflects the values we stand for every day.
