Chinook at Local Job Fairs
Chinook recently had the opportunity to attend several job fairs. We joined the Skagit County Veterans Stand Down to spread the word about our work in supporting individuals with disabilities and other barriers in finding meaningful employment. Alongside other valuable services, we connected with job seekers and shared resources to help them achieve their career goals.
Additionally, we participated in the All Industries Career & Internship Fair at Western Washington University, engaging with talented individuals and showcasing the opportunities available through our programs.
Our team also had a great time at the 2024 Skagit County Transition Resource Fair – “TRANSITION + To Employment…And Beyond!” We met with families and guardians of students (ages 14-21) who experience developmental disabilities and discussed how our Employment Specialists support customers with disabilities or other barriers in finding work in our community.
We were grateful to everyone who stopped by our booths and showed interest in our mission. Together, we broke down barriers and created pathways to success. Chinook is excited to have been part of these events and looks forward to continuing to create opportunities for meaningful employment.
