On Monday October 2nd, 2017, Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib paid a visit to Chinook Enterprises as part of a day-long county tour in partnership with EDASC, The Port of Skagit and Skagit Valley Community College. Lt. Governor Habib spent an hour at Chinook learning about the organization to become familiar with our local challenges and opportunities.
Lt. Governor Habib began the visit with an interview session with students from the transitions program. Afterward he toured the production department to gain a better understanding of Chinook’s capabilities. The tour wrapped up in the conference room with a discussion on local employment opportunities.
Chinook staff presented Lt. Habib with an audio-file of the 2016 annual report, knowing he would not be able to read the report due to his vision impairment.
