More Than Books: The Many Ways Allen Makes a Difference
Allen is a bright, curious, and fun-loving young man with a special talent for making people feel welcome. Recently, Allen was hired as a Library Assistant at the Upper Skagit Library in Concrete, where he plays an important role in helping daily operations run smoothly. His responsibilities include collecting, scanning, and sorting returned books, as well as searching library shelves for books and DVDs that have been requested by other branches. With a strong attention to detail and a dependable work ethic, Allen helps ensure materials get where they need to go so library patrons throughout the Skagit Library system can access the resources they’re looking for.
One of Allen’s greatest strengths is his ability to connect with people. He warmly greets library guests and coworkers alike, and his friendly personality has made him a valued member of the team. Whether he is helping behind the scenes or interacting with visitors, Allen brings positivity and enthusiasm to his work each day.
Outside of work, Allen enjoys listening to all kinds of music, especially when he can turn up the volume. He also loves exploring technology and spending time with family and loved ones. In addition to his job at the library, Allen volunteers weekly at the Sedro-Woolley Senior Center, where he is a familiar and appreciated presence. His willingness to help others and his genuine kindness make an impact everywhere he goes.
